Grant Application Basics w/Kari McQueen

Grant Application Basics w/Kari McQueen

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) and EMMEDIA have teamed up once again to bring you a workshop guiding media artists on the basics of grant applications! AFA’s very own grant officer Kari McQueen will cover the Alberta Foundation for the Arts’ Visual Arts and New Media Individual Project Grant, ISCP Residency in New York, scholarships and the Film and Video Individual Project Grant, as well as how to navigate the GATE Portal.

Kari McQueen will also offer 15- to 20-minute, one-to-one grant draft feedback sessions after the presentation. Attendees can bring their grant draft for review!

Attendees will leave the workshop with an understanding of the available funding to make their projects happen, as well as sample project ideas. The workshop is completely free to attend, but donations are welcome.

Workshop will be held online via Zoom and the link will be sent out the day prior to the event.
