CANADA SUMMER JOBS: MARKETING ASSISTANT

EMMEDIA is looking for a Marketing Assistant, who will work under the supervision of the Programming Director, to help us document and promote upcoming events and connect with our community.

Responsibilities

Communications

  • Support the development and execution of a digital marketing strategy.
  • Create and edit short-form video content for both events.
  • Create, schedule and publish social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Create, schedule and publish our monthly newsletter.

Graphic Design

  • Collaborate with the Programming Director on visual branding development for yearly programs.
  • Design engaging social media posts.
  • Assist in designing posters, programming guides and print material.

Documentation

  • Photograph and take video of upcoming events for archival and promotional use.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Basic photography skills
  • Interest in communications and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok), and current trends.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility Criteria

  • be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of their summer job
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job and
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
    • This includes having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of their summer job
