We are currently seeking experimental artwork that pushes boundaries and invites dialogue. If it’s new, experimental, interdisciplinary, or just interesting, you are likely to see it at Particle+Wave. Over the past year, our community has been actively exploring topics around artificial intelligence, and we’re excited to see how artists respond to and reflect on these conversations through their work. We have shown XR, VR, and AI-based works; sound installations, computer games, and custom-made machines in past editions. We strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented groups, including LGBTQ2S+, BIPOC, people with disabilities, and artists whose perspectives are often marginalized in mainstream spaces.Deadline to apply: September 6th, 2025 at Midnight MST. Artist Fees:All selected artists will be paid according to CARFAC-RAAV Minimum Recommended Fee Schedule. Contingent on funding, EMMEDIA will support the shipment of artwork. Production costs will generally be the responsibility of the artist. Extraordinary costs associated with presentation will be negotiated with the artist on a case-by-case basis. Review Procedure:Proposals for Particle + Wave are selected through a peer review process by our Programming Committee. The Committee consists of local artists, writers, and curators who have extensive and varied media arts backgrounds. Proposals will be selected based on consideration of the following criteria: artistic merit of theproposed project, fit with EMMEDIA’s mandate, feasibility of the proposed shipping expenses, and our ability to provide appropriate space/support for the project.
