Two Free Workshops by Two International Artists

This month, we’re offering two free workshops that approach sound, movement, and artistic agency from very different angles. Both invite you to step outside conventional frameworks and reconnect with experimentation.

The Amplified Invisible: Electronic Listening/Dancing

with erψn temp3st

What happens when your body becomes the instrument? In this hands-on workshop, participants explore electronic feedback through contact microphones, effects pedals, and mini-amplifiers. Movement generates sound. Small shifts in pressure, proximity, and material create evolving sonic textures.

Participants are invited to bring plastic containers (bottles, jugs, tupperware) to extend the feedback systems. DIY contact mics are provided, and no prior experience with sound art or electronics is required.

between learning and doing

with Mikołaj Rytowski

Led by percussionist and sound artist Mikołaj Rytowski, this session is structured in two parts:

Step 1 – Reclaim Your Direction
Participants reflect on what formal training, school, or institutions have instilled (methods, assumptions, limitations) and identify what to keep, what to discard, and what might be holding them back.

Step 2 – Sonic Exploration Lab
Through collective improvisation, participants experiment with sound as a mode of listening and responding. There is no pressure to perform. The focus is on sensing, reacting, and exploring outside conventional structures.

Why These Workshops Matter

Both sessions prioritize process over final product. They offer space to experiment without the obligation to present something.

They are also free. In a field where access to high-level, process-oriented exploration can be limited by cost or institutional affiliation, these workshops are an invitation to reconnect with curiosity.
