Performance by Tribe Arts Society Workshops Over four intensive days at EMMEDIA, participants immersed themselves in the world of animation, video production, and projection mapping through a series of hands-on workshops led by local artists and mentors. From learning the fundamentals of projection mapping with Mackenzie Bedford and creating paper cut-out animations with Quickdraw Animation’s Vicky Gu and Nina Patafi, to filming and editing video with Telly James, youth artists explored the tools and techniques needed to bring their stories to life. The series culminated in advanced projection workshops with Jose Macasinag, where participants experimented with interactive visuals, looped installations, and scale models like tipis and miniature houses. These workshops laid the groundwork for the creation of original, projection-mapped artworks that blend tradition with technology and showcase the unique voices of each artist.
