EMMEDIA'S New Artistic Director

We are thrilled to introduce our new Artistic Director, Kadra Yusuf.

Kadra is a mixed media artist based in Calgary/Moh’kinsis. Kadra’s practice includes film, comedy, music, and cultural commentary. She is a graduate of the Herland Filmmaking Mentorship program and has directed content for both Telus and the CBC. In her free time Kadra loves cooking, spending time with her cat Edgar, playing board games, and dissecting comedy.

adra is excited to use her new role as EMMEDIA’s Artistic Director to support and uplift others in marginalized groups. She is looking forward to meeting artists and expanding her own practice.
