EQUIPMENT RENTALS
To rent equipment, you must be a Producer Member in good standing and must demonstrate a sufficient level of competency, or you must have taken the relevant workshops and training at EMMEDIA or other facilities.
The Producer shall not allow any person (other than EMMEDIA Producer Members in good standing) to operate any of the equipment. The Member who rents the equipment is responsible for any damage incurred while in their possession. Members must NEVER, EVER leave equipment in their car or in a public area unsupervised.
Equipment may be picked-up Monday through Friday from 2PM to 5PM and dropped-off Monday through Friday from 10AM to 1PM. All pick-ups and drop-offs outside of these hours must be approved in advance with the Production Coordinator.
All productions wishing to access EMMEDIA’s equipment or post-production facilities must be pre-approved by the Production Coordinator by submitting a MANDATORY Production Support Request form. This form can be downloaded from the link below, filled out electronically and submitted by email to production@emmedia.ca. All equipment bookings must clearly show the title of an approved production or equipment may not leave the premises and access to Edit Suites will be denied. Billable days include pick-up day but not drop-off day.WEEKEND RENTALS ARE ALWAYS BILLED AT A 2 DAY RATE.
Late returns will be billed an addition 1/2 day charge for the first 4 hours and an additional full day rate for each day thereafter.
Pro-rated Billing Structure*:
2 consecutive days billed at 1.5 day rate
3 consecutive days billed at 2 day rate
4 consecutive days billed at 2.5 day rate
5 consecutive days billed at 3 day rate
6 consecutive days billed at 3.5 day rate
7 consecutive days billed at 4 day rate
30 consecutive days billed at 12 day rate
*PRO-RATED BILLING DOES NOT APPLY TO COMMERCIAL PRODUCTIONS OR TO DAY RATE CHARGES RESULTING FROM LATE RETURNS. COMMERCIAL RENTALS ARE BILLED AT 2X STANDARD DAY RATE.
